Dating safety, scams and verification

Editorial Policy

Sources. Safety guidance draws on the FTC, the FBI’s IC3, Report Fraud, Ofcom, national cyber security agencies and the dating apps’ own safety documentation. Figures are quoted only from named sources, with dates. If something cannot be confirmed, the article says so.

No testing claims. The journal does not run searches on real people, try services on readers’ behalf or present comparisons as personal trials.

Assessing services. Comparisons list their criteria first: what the service does, published pricing, data handling and opt-out policies, and the legal limits on how results may be used.

Help pages. Pages on reporting scams, sextortion and support carry no sponsored content or paid links.

Sponsorship. Paid articles are labelled “Sponsored: paid placement.” Paid links carry rel="sponsored nofollow". Partner listings are marked and assessed like any other.

Corrections. Errors can be reported to editorial@meetsafejournal.com. Confirmed corrections are made and dated. Guidance is reviewed when reporting routes or app safety features change.
